Business Trip in Phuket: Custom Shirts and Blazers

By Oslo Tailor, Patong · Published 5 October 2026 · Updated 5 October 2026

On a business trip, shirts and a blazer are the most practical pieces to have made, because they are smaller jobs than a full suit. A suit can be ready 1 to 2 days after your fitting, while shirts and blazers depend on the order and the shop’s workload, so tell the tailor your free hours and departure date as early as possible.

Why shirts and blazers suit a business trip

A full suit is a bigger commitment. A made-to-measure shirt or a blazer is quicker to plan, and it makes a real difference to how you look in meetings. A shirt that fits across the shoulders and in the body, with the right sleeve length, looks better than an expensive off-the-rack one that does not.

What to consider ordering

Shirts

  • Choose collar styles that work with and without a tie.
  • Pick breathable cotton for hot, humid days.
  • Consider a few plain colours (white, light blue) that go with everything.
  • Think about cuffs: button or French.

Blazers

  • A light blazer is easy to carry and works for dinners and meetings.
  • A lighter, less structured jacket is more comfortable in the heat. See fabrics for tropical heat.
  • Pick a colour that works with trousers you already own.

Plan around your schedule

Business travellers rarely have free days. We are open from 10:00 to 23:00, so you may be able to visit in the evening after meetings. Tell us:

  • When you arrive and when you leave
  • Which hours you are free
  • When you need the pieces

If you want a full suit, it can be ready 1 to 2 days after your fitting. For shirts and blazers, how long it takes depends on the order and the shop’s workload, so we tell you what is realistic and whether the dates work. If they do not, we will say so honestly.

Fittings on a tight schedule

You need measurements first, then a fitting. Visit early in the trip if you can. Read how many fittings you need for short-stay planning, and what to bring so the visit is efficient.

Dress for the room, not just the weather

Phuket meeting rooms and restaurants are often air-conditioned, while outdoors is hot and humid. A blazer you can take off or put on easily works well. A breathable shirt that does not show sweat marks too readily is a smart choice, and a lighter colour can help.

Getting the order to you

If you are staying away from Patong, ask about hotel delivery so you do not need another trip. If you have to leave before the order is done, ask about shipping. See taking your suit home.

Looking after shirts and blazers in the heat

  • Hang the blazer after wearing it so it dries and recovers.
  • Rotate shirts, since cotton needs to dry between wears.
  • Carry a spare shirt on days with lots of walking.

Common questions

Can I visit in the evening?

Yes. We are open from 10:00 to 23:00, which helps if your days are taken by meetings.

Should I order shirts and a blazer together?

You can. Tell us what you want so we can plan fittings for all the pieces together.

Can the shop deliver to my hotel?

Ask us about hotel delivery when you place the order.

Do you make suits too?

Yes. See our suits page if the trip leaves room for a full suit.

What if I only have one free evening?

Message us before you come with the hours you have. A single evening is usually enough for choosing fabric and being measured, and we can then discuss whether a fitting fits in around your meetings. Tell us honestly how tight the schedule is so we can suggest the most sensible pieces to order.

Ready to plan yours?
