From Kata and Karon
Kata and Karon are separate beach areas south of Patong, and the road to Patong crosses a hill. Typical options are:
- A taxi or private car arranged through your hotel.
- A ride-hailing app, if it works where you are staying.
- A local tuk-tuk or songthaew, where you should agree the fare before getting in.
- A rented scooter or car if you are experienced and licensed to drive it in Thailand.

From Kamala
Kamala lies north of Patong, and the road between them also goes over a hill. The same transport options apply: hotel-arranged taxi, ride-hailing app, tuk-tuk with an agreed fare, or your own vehicle.
